We live under the illusion that we are separate little blobs of protoplasm living out a very short existence apart from everything else. Western medicine tends to involve separate blobs of protoplasm fixing other blobs of protoplasm when something goes wrong in the blob. Put that way, it seems kind of disconnected doesn’t it.
Just about every other form of medicine like ayurvedic, acupuncture, energetic and shamanistic thinks in a different way. The human energy field - that means you – is connected to the entire universe in a massive information field of energy… and, particularly with the advent of string theory, many people are now looking at a more scientific basic for the human energy field.
The Chinese call the energy in the human energy field Qi, the yogis call it Prana, the Japanese call it Ki. Whatever the name, it consists of both power and information, and the really important part is information. From a healing point of view, the information in Qi contains the blueprint for health in the human body. We experience illness when that information is somehow distorted. The 7 Chakras is a Universal Idea
The 7 chakras system is found throughout the world. It is called different things by different cultures, but the basic idea of the 7 chakras is consistent. They are found in the texts of ancient India, in China, and in all forms of energy healing. In fact, the idea of the 7 chakras can be seen in Christian paintings where Jesus, the angels, and the saints can be seen with halos radiating from their heads.

It’s less commonly known that the 7 chakras are also intimately connected to acupuncture. Dr. Mikio Sankey has thoroughly documented that connection in his several works on Esoteric Acupuncture.

I want to share some research I’ve been doing on a fascinating South American fruit called Camu Camu. A picture is at the left.
