It’s Easy To Cut Winter Heating Bills
Heating your home in winter can be very very expensive. An all electric home can cost $400 – $500 per month to keep the home warm and toasty in 30 degree weather. That’s a lot! One alternative is to use soda/beer can based Solar Air Heaters. The idea is simple, but as you might expect for any Do It Yourself (DIY) projects, there are many variations. The basic idea is to build an insulated box, fill it with soda cans that are painted black, put a hole in the bottom of the box for air to come in, put a hole in the top of the box for heated air to go out, and put a piece of glass or plastic over the whole thing. You can construct one for less than $100 that will heat the air to over 100 degrees.
Then the trick is to distribute the heated air throughout your home… but more on that later. For now, watch the video below to see the easiest and cheapest version I have ever seen.
Other posts will show fancier versions.
