Vitalogy Day 12 Slipping off the carb wagon ain't such a bad thing
"Hello, this is the chocolate chip cookie talking to you… the one that made Ron slip off the Vitalogy program on day 12… well, actually the first one."
Yup, I just love homemade chocolate chip cookies. So, I have a few yesterday. These are those $1,000 carbs I was talking about in the other post. I still did my shaking, twisting, rocking, and lateral flexion, but I found the temptation too great so I invested in a few thousand dollars in carbs. What I really like about Vitalogy is that it's realistic. It's not like stupid diets that demand you eat nothing but protein or fast on lemonade and maple syrup. Vitalogy is about making change for life, not a few weeks. That means it follows the 80/20 rule. What matters is what you do 80% of the time throughout your life. You're going to have cookie days once in a while, just keep them down to the 20%. So, on day 13 I just need to be mindful of the money I spent on carbs yesterday and try to save them and put them back in the bank over the next couple days. I keep up the protein, fat, carb combination, but alter the carbs to eat nothing but the $5 carbs. So, that means some Green Drink. I'll tell you about that in another post.
